Position Overview:
We are thrilled to offer a new opportunity to participate in GEODIS International Career Program! GICP is an 18 to 24-months exchange program for Freight Forwarders from Denmark to work in the United States. This exciting opportunity is designed to enhance cross-cultural skills, broaden industry knowledge, and promote professional development. As a participant, you will work closely with our US team, gaining invaluable international experience while contributing to our global and local operations.

Key Responsibilities
During your stay in the US you will be working as a freight forwarder, contributing with your knowledge and experience from freight forwarding in Denmark and exchange best practice. Depending on your skills and experience, tasks might include export and/or import forwarding in sea, air, road, and rail. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate and manage international shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Liaise with GEODIS colleagues, agents, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Work with the US team to optimize freight solutions and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge.
Applicant's profile
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding. It is required that you have been working with GEODIS Denmark minimum 2 years and are well familiar with our organization, our service offer and products, processes, CW1, etc.
Furthermore, we are considering:
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Specialized knowledge is a plus, e.g. team leader, key user, DG certificate.
• Previous experience from working abroad is a merit.
• A post-secondary school degree in freight forwarding/logistics is also a merit.
• Valid passport and eligibility to work in the USA during the exchange.
