Job description

The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for directing workflow within the warehouse in accordance with the supervisor's instruction, facilitating the inbound, outbound, value-added services and fulfilment elements of the warehouse.

• Dealing with inbound and outbound calls
• Dealing with all the office administration and logistics functions
• Data entry and updating the systems and keeping all documentation up to date and be organised
• Dealing with despatch and goods in
• Dealing with stock queries and supporting the stock controller
• Working as part of a busy team and working to set deadlines based on KPI deadlines
• Dealing with clients and follow up on requests and orders
• Coordinating transportation details and advising on any delays or problems that may arise
• Reporting and providing the correct documentation for shipments to customers, completing CMRS
• Dealing with the complaints and customer queries
• Liaising between the hauliers, suppliers, and customers
• Following the SOPs
• Tracking employee hours in account to provide feedback
• Directing team of employees for one or more accounts in warehouse
• Coordinating with the Warehouse Supervisor to determine shipping schedules, labour requirements for rework projects, and cycle counts
• Unloading and moving inbound freight product to storage locations safely and efficiently
• Effectively communicate with the customers, various teams, transport companies, etc.
• Constantly monitor progress throughout the day
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined SOW procedures
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Always promote GEODIS in a positive and ethical manner
• Carry out any additional duties required

Applicant's profile

• 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 + years Administration
• Experience with warehouse equipment
• Previous experience with a similar role is beneficial
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels, and to produce effective summaries and reports as required.
• Synapse training preferred
• Competent problem-solving with the ability to look for alternative solutions
• Immaculate attention to detail alongside highly accurate data entry and inputting skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
