Job description


To carry out all warehouse activities in accordance with industry best practice, ISO, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H & S.
To manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining a 100% level of accuracy, robustness, safety and security.
To ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved warehouse procedures and deadlines.
To ensure that all Customs policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
To ensure Health & Safety policy is adhered to at all times.
Responsible and Accountable to ensure company property is looked after and used correctly and safely at all times.
To drive continual improvement in warehouse policies and procedures and challenge status quo.
To ensure that instructions from your line manager/supervisor are carried out effectively and efficiently in the interest of the business at all times.
To support your line manager/supervisor in dealing with investigations, disciplinaries and absence management in line with Company Policy.
Ensure that you challenge any unauthorised persons entering the warehouse premises by reporting them to your line manager and escorting them to reception. (Security is everyone's Responsibility) Always aim to deliver best practice by being a role model and leading by example, remaining professional and integral at all times.
Promote effective team building initiatives in the Warehouse.
To ensure that all data recorded within the Warehouse is accurate, legible and correct at all times.

Applicant's profile

• Previous experience of warehouse operations
• Self-Motivated and Can do Attitude
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• To work effectively as an individual and a member of a team by cooperating and supporting colleagues in the workplace
• Knowledge and understanding of how Logistics or other large airfreight organisations operate
• Excellent knowledge of import/export procedures
• Excellent understanding of freight industry security processes
• Complete understanding of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations
• To deal politely, efficiently and courteously with a wide range of individuals, ensuring they feel supported, listened to, welcome and confident in the handling of their enquiry.
