Job description
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations and business activities for one of our major customer accounts in Sweden. The department consists of about 30 employees, who coordinate ocean freight for our customer. You will be responsible for one of the teams within the department, about ten employees. You will have a close collaboration with managers, specialists and the other teams within the department, but also colleagues, customer representatives and suppliers globally.
Key areas:
- Be a role model in people management, embodying our leadership principles and organizational values.
- Lead and develop your team, with full responsibility for employee management.
- Responsible for daily operations and be the customer's main contact for day-to-day operational issues.
- Ensure implementation of new SOPs and processes, in alignment with company policies and routines.
- Represent the team/department and the company in customer activities and meetings.
Applicant's profile
We are looking för a people and business-oriented leader with a passion for ocean freight and customer relations. To excel in this role, we believe that you have:
- Extensive experience of working with freight forwarding in the Swedish market, preferably ocean export.
- A passion for developing and motivating others, with previous experience from leading a team.
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish, with strong communication skills.
- Experience from working in our production system CargoWise1 is a plus.
