As a Gateway Forwarder Air, you work to find the best possible air transport solutions for cargo based on our customers' needs. You continuously receive shipment bookings and price inquiries from GEODIS air offices in Sweden. Your primary customers are our internal air offices, but you also maintain ongoing contact with airlines, terminals, trucking companies, and our agents around the world. The team is part of a large global network and has many points of contact both internally and externally.

Your main responsibilities include:
- Procurement of cost-effective and high-quality air transport solutions.
- Book shipments with airlines and trucking companies.
- Delivery monitoring/deviation reporting.
- Documentation and invoicing.
- Handling claims.
- Contribute to the team's development and improvement of working methods and processes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
- Fluent in Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
- Experience from working with air freight forwarding, primarily in exports.
- Good knowledge about the Swedish freight forwarding industry and market.
- Post-secondary education in logistics or freight forwarding is a merit.
- Experience in using CargoWise1.&lt;br /&gt;

As a Project Logistics Operations Specialist, your primary focus is to plan and organize tailored logistics solutions for projects and special cargo. You are responsible for your own customers, projects, and shipments, but you work closely with your colleagues in Sweden, GEODIS's global network, as well as customers, suppliers, and partners worldwide.

Main responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and business with existing customers and suppliers.
- Manage shipments and projects from inquiry all the way to invoicing.
- Be responsible for customer contact and follow-up via phone and visits.
- Respond to supplier and customer inquiries.
- Contribute to the team's development and improvement of work methods, routines, and processes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
We believe you have several years of experience in freight forwarding and it is highly beneficial if you have worked with project logistics and special transports before. The team works with sea, air, and road transport, so it is an advantage if you have worked with several modes of transport. Swedish and English are used daily, so it´s preferred to speak and write both languages fluently.

The role suits someone who is flexible, solution-oriented, and independently drives their work forward. You have the ability to plan and organize projects and special transports from start to finish, act proactively, and have good structure. You value good communication and collaboration with both external and internal partners and always focus on excellent service and quality.&lt;br /&gt;

Network Strategy &amp; Management
• Define Network Strategy in cooperation with Charter Network that enables long-term growth plans
• Continuously review network assets and infrastructure (gateways, hubs and feeder services) to deliver optimal productivity and consistent quality of service to the internal and external customer
• Develop short-term network plans (commercial / scheduled charter) within Network Strategy to react on market conditions/requirements

Capacity Planning and Management 
• Liaise with Charter Network the availability of capacity at costs and supports reaching the margin targets defined
• Coordinate with Regional Airfreight or Trade-lane Management to procure additional capacity to supplement existing capacity requirements
•	Optimisation of profitability / co-loader markets
•	Manage, optimise &amp; monitor internal contacts, SOP (process) / SLA (KPIs) 

Procurement Strategy
• Define Procurement Strategy and its underlying subcontractor portfolio for the group and ensure execution
• Define standards for the global procurement and the delineation of procurement responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain the procurement planning process.

Carrier Selection and Contracting
• Negotiate core subcontractor agreements, including global rate, capacity and service agreements and related incentives
• Define contract standards in close alignment with legal department
• Set KPI-framework to be applied in the countries for specific SLAs with carriers
• Provide support (e.g. driven by negotiated carrier incentive agreements) to country product teams to support cargo steering according to contractual incentives

Regional Commercial Carrier and Subcontractor Management
• Develop carrier evaluation methodology and guidelines with CHO for sustainable carrier relationship and performance management in alignment with Standards &amp; Governance
• Align with Compliance and QHSE to ensure all carriers and subcontractors policies are in line with all current rules and regulations
• Monitor and control core, strategic, tactical carriers
• Act as regional escalation point and resolve procurement issues with carriers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic carriers 

Procurement Performance Management &amp; Carrier Incentive Management
• Ensure adherence of Procurement to agreed standards

General &amp; Revenue Management
• Keep abreast of industry changes, market situation and customer requirements; update all respective working colleagues within the geographies on the changes of market conditions
Participate in joint Sales meeting and Weekly Airfreight calls
• Determine Net Achieved Rates per season together with Global RCOM Team and Regional Airfreight Director (cost)
Participate in joint customer visits
Development of consolidation ratio – report / dashboard
Setup fixed cost for mid and long term in cooperation with the country teams&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Logistics
• 5-10 years of work experience (minimum)
• 5-10 years of overall industry experience (minimum)
• 5-10 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training &amp; development, coaching, conflict and performance management (minimum)
• 5-10 years of experience in Logistics procurement (minimum)
• International working experience preferred
• CargoWise Knowledge is a plus
