Are you looking for a new challenge in the dynamic world of Freight Forwarding? We are looking for a motivated Global Pricing Manager, Airfreight at the Global Airfreight head office at Schiphol, the Netherlands. Purpose of the Job As Airfreight Pricing Manager, you will be instrumental in executing and managing our airfreight pricing strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include handling and reviewing RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and Minimum Selling rates through close collaboration with airfreight product managers at regional and local levels. In this role, you will also work in partnership with global and regional tender teams to ensure the successful retention of key global customers and the onboarding of new business. Additionally, you will ensure that our pricing strategies are accurately reflected in our internal pricing tool, and you will support improvements and automation of this tool. Your goal is to achieve data accuracy and drive profitable growth. Your contribution will be essential in promoting continuous improvements in the tool's functionalities and usage. In this role you will report to the Global Pricing Director Airfreight.

The ideal candidate: • Has 3-5 years of professional experience in Pricing and/or Tender Management in the global freight forwarding/airfreight industry • Operational experience in Airfreight is preferrable • Experience in handling and pricing Pharma shipments is a big plus • Possesses excellent skills in Excel and has an analytical mindset • Has good business acumen and intercultural skills • Is a good communicator and fluent in Business English • Has the ability to influence internal stakeholders • Can work under pressure and tight deadlines

The Freight Forwarder is responsible for the operational and administrative execution of import and export services for our freight forwarding customers. The Freight Forwarder arranges shipments and sends freight cargo as efficiently as possible while taking costs, quality and lead time into account. The Freight Forwarder also has an advising role and thinks of ways to enhance freight shipments. Key Activities / Accountabilities; Providing services to customers in accordance with SLA, SOP or other contractual obligations • Participates in the execution of operational activities; • Ensure independent execution of freight forwarding activities; • Set objectives and priorities using knowledge and ability to make profitable business decisions; • Book shipments and distribute information into files and calculate charges; • Negotiate and discuss buying rates on shipment level; • Enter all charges & profit shares; • Close file, print airway bills (AWB), pass invoices & credit notes; • Post information in the various IT systems (Next Gen, G360, Fiton, etc.) timely & correctly. Strengthen internal network with other sites. Actively working on a good relationship with external customers and suppliers. • Follows through on customer inquiries, requests and complaints; • Develop and maintain relationships with (high potential) accounts, overseas agents, sister offices and Shipping lines; • Safeguards the integrity of GEODIS's customers and fellow team members; • Answer customer questions (around 90%) or by addressing the right persons; • Proactively seeks ways to exceed customers' expectations • Understand the customer business environment; • Consistently treat customers and colleagues with courtesy and respect; Ensuring optimal operational progress and performance aligned with KPI's, SLA, SOP or any other contractual agreements with the customer. • Assist with month-end closings: check received invoices and billing conform company policy; • Willing to modify decisions when changing circumstances or data dictate, based on the results on customer reporting; • Assure timely billing conform company policy; • Check intercompany invoices and administrate them in the system: if not correct make disputes; • Timely administer and react to disputes / supplier invoices.

• Vocational education (MBO+) in freight forwarding; • 2 – 3 years' experience in logistics; • Effective user of IT systems used in the freight forwarding industry (operational, invoicing and company tools) • Fluent in local language and English; • Knowledge of customer's SOP's; • Knowledge of customs, import & export processes and industry regulations. • Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) which needs to be renewed every two years; • Exhibits team spirit that leads to collaboration and contribution; • Manages changing priorities effectively; • Self-motivated; • Consistently strives to do better, to experience new challenges and opportunities; • Works well without continual supervision; • Works easily with a variety of people.
