This position is responsible for managing designated client accounts and ensuring the delivery of innovative, sustainable, warehousing &amp; distribution services. The Key Account Manager acts as the essential link in driving operational and financial results, and developing long-term relationships and value for clients.

 Client Account Management
•	Act as the main point of contact for designated clients.
•	Build and maintain strong relationships, supporting and adapting to their evolving demand, while serving as their primary contact for all account related issues.
•	Support the clients' business by managing their supply chain activities and ensuring adherence to KPI's
•	Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, providing timely solutions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
•	Organise Quarterly reviews.


Warehouse Operations Coordination
•	Oversee warehouse facility operations, including loading and unloading, order fulfilment, inventory management etc.
•	Ensure logistics operations meet client needs for distribution and transportation.
•	Manage &amp; coordinate the warehousing services &amp; delivery of essential products and goods in line with Client's requirements

Team Leadership
•	Where applicable, lead, train, and coordinate the warehouse team to ensure consistent application of best practices to ensure adherence to Clienst KPI's
•	Foster collaboration among team members and with other departments (Transport, IT, Customer Service, etc.).

Process Management
•	Support client and Geodis Management by providing data and operational insights for dashboards (KPI's) and risk assessments.
•	Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, reports, issues etc in line with client KPI's
•	Act as a liaison between customers and the operations teams, communicating account-specific information, forecasts, and changes in process/business requirements
•	Analyse account performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory levels, and provide regular reports to management to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
•	Capable of maintaining performance in a pressured environment

To oversee and optimise daily Warehouse Operations, ensuring compliance with GEODIS &amp; Velux operational guidelines &amp; requirements. The Warehouse Lead provides a key role in managing resources, supporting logistics chain optimisation, and maintaining the efficiency and profitability of warehouse activities.

Key Objectives
•	Operational Efficiency: Ensure warehouse operations are aligned with GEODIS objectives &amp; adhere to operational requirements as specified by Velux
•	Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse activities meet the standards set in general rules and operational guidelines.
•	Resource Management: Lead and coordinate warehouse staff to maximize productivity, uphold safety standards, and maintain operational efficiencies and customer requirements.
Operational Management
•	For Velux, oversee daily warehouse activities, including order management, inbound/outbound flows, and inventory control, to ensure efficient and profitable operations. 
•	Support implementation of logistics chain optimisation, last-mile delivery, and return logistics as required to ensure Geodis meet Velux KPI's
•	Ensure warehouse utilisation is in line with Velux requirements

Team Leadership

•	Lead, train, and coordinate the warehouse team to ensure consistent application of best practices and safety protocols.
•	Foster collaboration among team members and with other departments (Transport, IT, etc.).
•	Manage Team including identifying development, training requirements and performance monitoring (Team KPI's).

Process Support
•	Particpate in continious improvement initiatives and ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation, reporting and adherence to Geodis/Velux process requirements.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

•	Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
•	Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
•	Analytical ability to monitor KPIs and support financial performance reviews.
•	Knowledge of safety, compliance, and environmental standards in warehouse settings.
•	Customer- and results-oriented mindset.
•	Capacity to implement process improvements and adapt to evolving operational needs.


Education

•	Leaving Certificate or equivalent 
•	MHE Licenses preferred, but will be organised as part of role is&lt;br /&gt;

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties, as well as any other tasks relevant to the department which may be needed. 

•	Processing of customer bookings by e-mail, phone and online
•	Planning of export and import traffic, including FTL, LTL and groupage.

•	Dealing with customer queries and proactively communicating with customers.
•	Working with hauliers and our partners &amp; agents abroad. 
•	Ensuring accurate financial information is kept.
•	Updating customers as to order progress.

•	Managing outturn reports and amending files in line with shortages/overlands.
•	Other General Duties within the Department
•	Liaising with Warehouse staff and Management daily.

A hybrid working arrangement with up to 2 days remote working per week will be permitted following successful completion of probation and training. The successful candidate can of course choose to work from the office full-time. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
•	Minimum of 1 year experience in a busy freight forwarding role. 
•	Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
•	Excellent English language communication &amp; interpersonal skills are required.
•	Good proficiency with Microsoft applications (Office 365 Suite) is required, and the candidate must be eager to learn other software used in the business. 
•	Must be a team player, while also having the ability to use their own initiative in their job as the varied tasks of this role will demand. 
•	Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential. 
•	Some flexibility of working hours may be required due to the time sensitive nature of the industry and our clients, especially on Friday evenings for export planning. 
•	Some proficiency in German, Spanish, French or Dutch would be an advantage. 





Education

•	Irish Leaving certificate or international equivalent is the minimum requirement.

•	A third level qualification, especially in a relevant area, would be an advantage but not an essential requirement.
